Hichem Omezzine, Chairman & Founder

Hichem founded Youvas in November 2009 while he was pursuing an MBA at The Wharton School. He spent the following seven months looking for synergistic Co-Founders, refining with them  the vision and strategy of Youvas after which he moved  to an advisory board role. He is now an investment Principal at emerging markets private equity firm Actis. Prior to Wharton, Hichem spent four years with JP Morgan, where he divided his time between London and Hong Kong working on a wide range of M&A advisory and investment mandates.

Hichem is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, Ponts et Chaussees, Sciences-Po in France and holds an MBA from The Wharton School where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar.

Gideon Simeloff

Gideon brings with him an 18 years experience in the media and digital media sectors, with expertise in Investment and Venture Capital, Strategy, M&A.

His broad experiences includes Executive Director and Head of Department at Ibtikar-Twofour54 an initiative of the Abu Dhabi Government focused on developing Abu Dhabi as a regional centre for Media/Digital and  Head of Acquisitions and Strategic Investment at FremantleMedia one of the largest international creators and producers of entertainment brands in the world.

Walid Driss

Walid Driss works in management consulting in the CMT practice of Oliver Wyman based in Dubai. He has a significant experience in the technology and telecommunications space both in corporate roles and as a strategy and management consultant.

He supported major Middle-Eastern companies in strategy formulation and execution, covering Sales and Marketing, Strategic Assessment, Investments and M&A, Digital Content and Media, Performance Improvement and Cost Optimization, Financial Planning and Turnaround Programs.

Walid previously worked in the Telecom industry in Europe with France Telecom (Orange)

Walid graduated as a Computer Science and Telecommunications engineer from Ecole Polytechnique (France) and ParisTech Graduate School (France) and holds an MBA from INSEAD where he graduated as a a recipient of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Foundation fellowship to outstanding Arab nationals.
